What is the difference between the CSRH Training Programme and the Portfolio Pathway?

Modified on Tue, 18 Feb at 10:32 AM

The CSRH Training Programme is a six-year programme, whereby a trainee is employed as a training consultant within a specific location, and progresses through the programme with educational and clinical supervision. In contrast, the Portfolio Pathway is an alternative route to specialist registration and involves independent collation of evidence which demonstrates the knowledge, skills and professional capabilities as a day one CSRH consultant, in-line with the CSRH curriculum. Unlike the CSRH training programme, those interested in the Portfolio Pathway do not need to apply via a recruitment process and can submit evidence to the GMC at any time.
