Do you need/should you have a consultant to supervise your Portfolio Pathway process?

As per the SSG, any sign offs provided by a supervisor/senior clinician are required to be appropriate for the competency/skill in question, and therefore have experience in the area.

However, unlike the specialty training programme, it is not required to have a consultant who provides educational supervision in a formal capacity, although may be helpful to have a level of support. you do not need to have supervision. If you wish someone to assist you in this capacity, you are free to make an arrangement independently.
