Does the UKMEC category for IUC insertion postpartum include consideration of the risk of infection and perforation?

Use of intrauterine contraception (IUC) by women following childbirth

The UKMEC provides separate categories for Cu-IUD and LNG-IUS. But the recommendations for IUC use by women following childbirth (postpartum) are the same for both Cu-IUD and LNG-IUS. Safety risks relate to complications that include perforation and infection. See method section of UKMEC for clarification/ evidence.
