The short answer is no, you do not need to do an eKA. If you are ready to submit your record of training document and other evidence, you will need to contact support@FSRH.org to have the eKA requirement removed.
Additional Information
The eKA was our previous theory assessment which has since been replaced with the OTA. As this theory assessment is a prerequisite to our LoCs our systems will check that all candidates have successfully completed this before allowing you to submit your application.
The LoC SDI Insertions Only is the only one of our Letters of Competence which does not have a prerequisite for the candidate to complete the Online Theory Assessment (OTA).
Our OTA covers areas that aren't necessary for implant insertion only procedures, however to compensate, applicants for LoC SDI-IO have to take an additional eLFH module (3. Contraceptive Choices.)
You can find out more about the training requirements for the LoC SDI-IO here - Training Requirements for those wishing to complete a Letter of Competence in Subdermal Contraceptive Implant Techniques Insertion Only (LoC SDI-IO) - Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (fsrh.org)
