How do I access my OTA for my LoC?

Modified on Thu, 15 Aug at 9:34 AM

The 2024 launch of the website introduced some improvements to our website making it easier to now access details on our LoCs, submit applications and request employer invoices. The below steps will show you how to apply.

If you are looking to apply for your LoC within your DFSRH Diploma, there is a different pathway for this.  Please follow this FAQ to access this.

Accessing the information

Step 1. Log in or register. To access any of our application forms, you do not need to be a member with us but you do need to at least have a registered account on our system as this will allow us to track your application and completion of pre requisite assessments. Use the top bar on FSRH.org to select whether you wish to log in to an already created account or to register for a new one.

HINT: If you believe that you may already have registered for an account and no longer know the details, do not create a new account as this will not contain any of your previous qualification or achievement history. Instead, reach out to our member support team to request they help you locate your previous information.

Once logged in, you will notice the top bar has now updated to show the below options. This means your login has been successful so you will be able to access our forms.

If you havent yet purchased the OTA, steps on how to do this are here.

Accessing the Live Assessment

Step 1. Finding the OTA area Once payment is complete and you have had confirmation that your reasonable adjustment has been applied (if you requested one), you can now access the assessment area.

At the top of the FSRH website you will be able to see a MyFSRH option, select this and it will take you to a view of your member home. (If you have logged out since applying, you will be directed to log in again.)

Scroll down this page until you see the Training Hub button as highlighted below.

Select this to be moved onto our Training Hub area. Once this opens, select Browse courses to be shown a grid of available courses to you. As these are in alphabetical order, the OTA one is near the end and will look like this.

When you select this tile, (it may ask you to enrol to open it so do so) continue to the page it opens. You will be shown the OTA page now which includes the following pink sub-headers.

Once payment is complete and you have had confirmation that your reasonable adjustment has been applied (if you requested one), you can now access the assessment area.On this page, there's a practice assessment which we recommend taking first to familiarise yourself with the format of the OTA before doing the live assessment.

Step 2. The assessment links. The tab highlighted in the above image is the one which holds your live assessment. When you expand this out, you will notice that there are several links below which have various attempts behind them.  Lets take time to look at these different links.

The three links marked with the highlight above are standard attempts 1,2 and 3. These open with payment for anyone who has NOT had a reasonable adjustment applied.

The four following links have additional time added to support those with disabilities/additional needs who have requested adjustments made to the timing of the exam. These will only open once the request has been approved.  If it has been more than 3 working days since your application and your adjustment has not been applied, please escalate this to support@fsrh.org to have this rectified.

Each of the assessment links will appear different based on your progression through the assessment as shown below.

1. Link appears grey - This is a closed link to you. Either payment is not complete or your adjustment has not been added.

2. Link is orange and the circle is open - This link is open and contains an available attempt for you.

3. Link is orange but has a cross in the circle - This link contains a previously failed attempt.

Click on the orange available link and you will be greeted with a screen which contains your assessment. Using the example above, the candidate's open assessment is for additional time on attempt 2 so they would see the below. Normal times given is 1 hour.

Your time starts immediately when you select the Attempt quiz now button so before you do, take a moment to check your internet connection, get any required refreshments and have your reference materials ready.

Good luck with your assessment.
